Project: Basic research on cell & animal models of Alzheimer Disease
We are interested in the functions of the neuronal cytoskeleton and its role in neurodegeneration, e.g.
- role of tau protein in neurons and relationship with Alzheimer’s disease,
- transgenic cell and mouse models of Alzheimer disease
- neuronal signal transduction pathways,
- axonal transport mechanisms
- development of therapeutic approaches
Prior experience with transgenic mouse models is of high priority, experience with molecular and cell biology is desirable.
Position available immediately, but starting date is negotiable.
