Project: Basic research on cell & animal models of Alzheimer Disease
We are interested in the functions of the neuronal cytoskeleton and its role in neurodegeneration, e.g.

• role of tau protein in neurons and relationship with Alzheimer’s disease,
• transgenic cell and mouse models of Alzheimer disease
• neuronal signal transduction pathways,
• axonal transport mechanisms
• development of therapeutic approaches

Prior experience with transgenic mouse models is of high priority, experience with molecular and cell biology is desirable.

Position available immediately, but starting date is negotiable.
